Real equipment. Real circuits. Real faults. Leave confident, not confused.
Who is this for?
New technicians
Techs still building their confidence
Installers moving to service
Building a stronger foundation for troubleshooting
What you’ll learn.
Refrigeration - pressures, temps, procedures, and know what to do next
Electrical circuits - read diagrams, trace power, finding faults
Meter skills - no more guessing where leads go or what the reading means
Fault-finding process - a step-by-step method to find the problem, every time
The Format:
2 full days
$975/seat - limited to 12 seats
Hands-on, live equipment
Small group format, ensuring maximum participation and coaching
No fluff. Only real-world scenarios
Half-Day Technical Session | Outdoor & Indoor Units
Install, start-up, and troubleshooting — covered in that order, with live equipment demonstrations throughout. You'll get the checkpoints that keep a system out of trouble from start-up, then spend the rest of the time on where techs get stuck: refrigerant circuit diagnostics, electrical and control faults, error code interpretation, and wiring issues across indoor and outdoor units.
You'll Walk Away Knowing:
• Install and start-up checkpoints specific to ductless systems
• How to read and interpret error/fault codes fast — no more guessing
• Refrigerant circuit diagnostics on single and multi-zone ductless equipment
• Electrical and control fault troubleshooting, indoor and outdoor
• Wiring diagnostics across the ductless line
Part of WTU's fall training series — heat pumps, ductless, and communicating systems.

Install, start-up, and troubleshooting — covered in that order, with live equipment demonstrations throughout. You'll get the checkpoints that keep a system out of trouble from start-up, then spend the rest of the time on where techs actually get stuck: communication faults, system setup and configuration, and the meters and tools that make diagnosing these systems faster — systems that don't troubleshoot like the conventional equipment you're used to.
You'll Walk Away Knowing:
• How to read communication faults fast — no more guessing
• System commissioning sequence and service menu navigation
• Which meters and tools actually make this job easier, and how to use them
• What breaks a communicating system that wouldn't break a conventional one
• How to tell a wiring fault from a control board fault before you start swapping parts
